Campaign Save A Life
Awareness Program

CAMPAIGN SAVE A LIFE was created by a few of our members. We worked with the Dept. of Safety to implement all aspects of the program. We now go into the schools to teach it during Drivers Ed classes and Wellness classes.

The Motorcycle Awareness Foundation would like to expand this program to organizations, companies and senior citizens centers.

The program consists of a 20 minute power point presentation, 11 minute film, a question and answer session plus a "hands on" interaction with a motorcycle.

The motorcycles we bring for display are perfectly safe for the students. We are not there to encouraged riding we are there to promote awareness.  The motorcycles are never without the kick stand down or in gear and the owner is always there beside the motorcycle.

The interactive time with the motorcycles enables the students to understand the balance and braking of a motorcycle so that they gain a better respect for them.

Our instructors have come to realize that teaching teenagers is a job, where anything can happen. You must keep an open mind and be ready to grab their attention through words because every class is different.  The students' most popular questions are:

What do you do for  a living?

How far have you ridden?

I believe the best experience for an instructor is to see the light go on in a students head and when a student is turned around from not understanding and being scared of motorcycles and their riders to understanding and accepting that motorcyclists are good people that come from all walks of life.

We have to date taught approximately 1,000 students. For more information about CSAL Awareness Program, to be an instructor or to bring it to your community please contact:
